Versa Technology’s only SHDSL family member, GRT-501, is the G.SHDSL.bis router that complies with ITU-T G.991.2 standard and provides affordable, flexible, and efficient Internet access solution for SOHO and Small Medium Business environment. The GRT-501 supports business-class and multi-range speeds from 192kbps to 5.7Mbps (2-wire) symmetric data rates and also can be connected as the LAN-to-LAN network connection in the distance up to 6.7km (4.2 miles) by using existing telephone copper wires. This makes it a great Ethernet Extender and Ethernet Repeater.

The Versa Technology GRT-501 is integrated with high-end Bridging / Routing capabilities, advanced functions of DMZ, Virtual Server, and VPN pass-through. Because the network environment grows rapidly, Virtual LAN has become more and more important feature in internetworking industry. The GRT-501 supports IEEE 802.1Q VLAN over ATM network.
